WHAT IS A MULTI-AGENT SYSTEM?

A multi-agent system, or MAS, coordinates several AI agents with different jobs. One might research, another draft, and another check the result. A coordinator passes work between them, with access limits and human review points.

A system with a purpose

Your business.
Shared understanding.

The useful part is not the number of agents. It is the way approved information, tools and decisions connect. We start with the work you need done, then choose whether simple automation, one agent or several agents are justified.

For example, a content workflow could research an agreed question, draft from your expertise, check claims against approved sources and place the result in your review queue.

What a bespoke build includes

The intelligence.
And the thinking around it.

01

Discovery & a workflow map

We document the current process, repeated problems, business rules and desired output. One named process owner agrees what a successful result looks like.

02

Approved business knowledge

Your service information, processes and permitted examples become a reference the system can use. Missing facts are surfaced; unverified material is not treated as truth.

03

Specialist roles & coordination

Each agent gets a defined job and the tools it needs. The coordinator controls the handoffs, keeps context and avoids unnecessary repeated work.

04

Tool connections & permissions

We scope the CRM, content tools, document storage or other integrations. Permissions are limited to the required actions, with credentials kept out of public code.

05

Reviews, logs & cost controls

Define what needs approval, what can run automatically, spending limits and stop conditions. Keep a usable record of actions and make failures visible.

06

Testing, handover & improvement

Test realistic examples and awkward cases, compare results against a baseline, document manual fallbacks and agree an ongoing support and evaluation plan.

Where it can help

Connect the work
across your business.

A sensible fit

Build it when
the job justifies it.

  • Repeated work with a clear owner
  • Several tasks that need different expertise
  • Approved knowledge and reliable inputs
  • A measurable outcome and review process
  • Time saved that can justify running costs

Start smaller when needed

Keep it simple
where you can.

If a fixed rule can do the job, ordinary automation may be enough. If the process changes every week, map and stabilise it first. If there is little reliable source information, build that foundation before adding agents.

AI can make mistakes. Human review, testing, limits and a practical fallback are part of the service design, not an optional extra.

Delivery & ownership

Scope. Build.
Test. Improve.

We begin with a written workflow brief and agree the first useful version. Your proposal sets the deliverables, tools, permissions, acceptance checks, timeline and support arrangement.

Build fees and ongoing costs are shown separately. Model usage, hosting and connected software depend on the workflow and volume. There is no fixed MAS price because the work varies materially.

Custom code, business records and approved content are handed over under the agreement. Third-party licences remain theirs. We can scope client-owned hosting where it suits the requirements.

Start with your workflow

Before we begin

A few questions.

Is this a chatbot?

It can include a chat interface, but a MAS is about coordinated work. Agents can research, prepare content, interact with tools and check outputs, within the permissions you agree.

Can it run my business without me?

No responsible proposal starts there. We define bounded tasks and human decision points. Public claims, financial commitments and other consequential actions need an agreed review process.

Do you build the system as part of the website package?

No. Scale includes one agreed follow-up workflow. A bespoke multi-agent system is a separate discovery, build and support scope.
